Take Highway 102 to drive to any of these 3 hotels. You'll go around the Bedford Basin and not over either of the two main bridges.
Lakeview Inn & Suites Website Map from hotel to rink.
To get to the Lakeview Inn & Suites continue driving along Highway 102 until Exit 1A [Sign says Peggys Cove / South Shore / Yarmouth] . Exit 1A is the exit after Costco & WalMart. After that exit you'll drive roughly 500m until the next exit (Exit 2A) comes up. You'll soon see Lakeview Inn & Suites on your right. Take a right at the next set of lights by Wendys and Tim Hortons to get to the hotel.
To get to the rink from Lakeview Inn & Suites, just go straight through the lights by Tim Hortons, which will put you onto the ramp to Highway 103. Stay on Highway 103 (Lighthouse Route) until you get to Exit 5. You'll see a strip mall ahead with a Pierceys, Sobeys, MacDonalds, etc.. Take a right of the ramp and drive until you hit a set of lights. Then take a left into the parking lot of the strip mall and St. Margaret's Centre is basically straight ahead.
Quality Inn & Suites Hotel Website Map from hotel to rink.
To get to the Quality Inn & Suites Hotel continue driving along Highway 102 and take Exit 2 onto Kearney Lake Road. (This exit can sneak up on you, so keep an eye out.) If you see Costco or Home Depot, you've gone too far and need to turn around at that exit. After taking Exit 2, take a left at the lights to go under the overpass, then take a right onto Parkland just past the PetroCan and before the Irving . The Quality Inn is on your immediate right.
To get to the rink from Quality Inn & Suites Hotel, just get onto Highway 102 by driving under the overpass and take a left at the lights. To get to the Comfort Inn in Bedford continue driving along Highway 102 and take Exit 3 for Hammonds Plains Rd/Bedford. Drive about 1.5km to get to the Bedford Highway and take a right by the lights. [You'll see a Dairy Queen & Tim Hortons on your right, Shoppers Drug Mart on the left and Sobeys straight ahead.] Then drive about 2.8 km until you see the Comfort Inn on your right.
My previous instructions said to take the Hammonds Plains Road all the way to the rink, but because of the predicted snow storm, you may be better taking the highway, by following the instructions below.
To get to the rink from the Comfort Inn, just travel back (North) on the Bedford Highway for about 2.8 km until you reach Hammonds Plains Rd. [You'll see a Dairy Queen & Tim Hortons on your left, Shoppers Drug Mart straight ahead and Sobeys on your right.] Take a left at the lights onto the Hammonds Plains Rd and keep driving until you get to the highway. Go under the overpass and take the ramp on your left to get on Highway 102. Drive along Highway 102 until Exit 1A [Sign says Peggys Cove / South Shore / Yarmouth] . Exit 1A is the exit after Costco & WalMart. You'll now be on Highway 103, then just stay on Highway 103 (Lighthouse Route) until you get to Exit 5.
