CONGRATULATIONS TO OLIVIA!!!!

Olivia Gowan of Cape Breton represented Nova Scotia at the Canadian Age Class Championship held in Sherbrooke, Quebec from March 28^th to 30^th, 2008.

She competed in the Juvenile Female division and succeeded in 5 personal best times, ALL OF WHICH WERE NOVA SCOTIA RECORDS!!!!

The previous 500m record of 50.69 held by Natalie Oake (1995/1996) was broken with a 49.39.

The previous 666m record of 1:08.87 held by Natalie Oake (1995/1996) was broken with a 1:05.81.

The previous 777m record of 1:20.24 set by Olivia in St Croix earlier in March was broken twice in successive races, 1:19.54 and 1:18.90.

The previous 1000m record of 1:45.39 set by Olivia in St Croix earlier in March was broken with a 1:41.67.

She finished in 16^th place overall in her division.
