Cape Breton Reunion and Try-it Event

Speed Skate Nova Scotia (SSNS) is pleased to announce the return of Speed Skating in Cape Breton. On September 20, 2015 the Northside Blades Speed Skating Club and the Sydney Special Olympics Speed Skating team are hosting a speed skating “try it” event for all ages and abilities. The event will be taking place at the Emera Centre in North Sydney from 1:30- 3:30pm. Skates will be provided for all participants and experienced speed skaters will be leading the session. A Cape Breton Speed Skaters Reunion will also be taking place in the Scotiabank meeting room from 1pm to 4pm.  All skaters- past, present and future- are invited to join reunion participants to share stories and some light refreshments. 

What: Try Speed Skating event and Cape Breton skaters reunion. 
Who: All ages and abilities- first time skaters or experienced athletes!
When: Sunday September 20
Where: Sydney Mines & District Community Centre *NEW LOCATION
Cost: FREE 
Other Information: Participants are asked to bring their own helmet and gloves.
