Date: April 29- 30, 2016
Location: Emera Centre Northside, North Sydney, NS
Information: The course covers the sport-specific modules of Speed Skating Canada’s FUNdamentals Coaching Clinic. The course prepares a coach to take inexperienced athletes and provide them with safe and educational training sessions teaching them basic speed skating skills. Upon successful completion of the course coaches will receive In-Training Coach status for the FUNdamentals context. In order to receive full Coach Certification, coaches will need to complete the multi-sport modules and an evaluation; which includes the submission of a coaching portfolio and an assessment.
- Registrants must be 15 years of age and older to participate.
- The course includes both classroom and ice sessions (skates are required).
